YouTube Video Downloader

Paste a public YouTube video URL to inspect available formats and save a copy you are permitted to download.

Public links only. Download content you own or have permission to save.

About the tool

Download eligible YouTube videos from a link

VideoFetch reads the public metadata attached to a YouTube link and presents the progressive video formats that can be delivered safely through the browser. Availability depends on the video, region, age controls, and current YouTube delivery rules. Private, members-only, rented, live, and DRM-protected videos are not supported.

Processing starts only after you submit a URL. The server validates the host, requests public metadata, and creates short-lived, tamper-resistant download links for the formats it finds. Submitted media is not added to a searchable public library.

No extension, account, or unfamiliar workflow required.

Questions, answered

YouTube downloader FAQ

Can I download every YouTube video?

No. Availability varies, and private, paid, live, restricted, or protected videos are intentionally unsupported.

Why is a certain resolution missing?

Some high-resolution YouTube formats separate audio and video. The downloader prioritizes browser-friendly combined formats.

Does VideoFetch store the video?

No permanent copy is created by the application. The selected media is streamed for the current download request.
